I got a kid to sell me a copy of FFX for $5 American xD on the bus. His mom bought it for him and he didn't like it (*gasp*, I know!) so he wanted to get rid of it and I told him I'd give him what I had in my pocket at the moment. I don't carry too much money to and from school because I've had too many wallets raided and/or stolen from me at school.

To give you an idea, it was $50 AC when it first came out, and it has been marked down over the years... to $20 and I think maybe $10 finally as of late. Great game though, and my copy of it was beginning to skip at certain parts of the game, so I was going to have to replace it anyway.

As for me getting ripped off...

I don't think I got ripped off much by anyone other than my tightwad father. He never let me buy anything expensive... and he used to pay me $2 every other week for back breaking child labor. Laughing Okay, maybe I exaggerate a little. I know it's better than nothing, but while I was 10 years old and getting $2 every other week, kids my age were getting $5 - $10 every week.

I remember another time when I went to sell a few video games and I got less than $5 a piece for each one, all of them only played once. It was a series I bought brand new when it first came out, let it sit on my shelf and collect dust for a few years, then decided they weren't worth my space any more and sold them. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a place that offered me any more than that, so I ended up giving them to someone.

>>;; I thought that was a pretty big ripoff.
