| I can say that I am somewhat concerned about it. I don't know the truth behind their motives, but the fact that they are a secret society sort of gets me. I will do a bit of research on it, to see what their motives (of which is debated all the time) are, and other necessary information. |

| Unless they have an army of 5 million super soldiers, or biological, chemical and nuclear weapons, I'm not concerned about them. There is no real good proof of their modern day existence. I'm more worried about terrorists, Iran, North Korea and George W. Bush. |

| I wouldn't say that I fear them, however, they have exercised some power in the past changing the tide of elections and such. |

They have also been said to have been connected to the rise of the French Revolution, even so far as to causing it.
And I don't know why any Canadian'd fear Terrorists, the possibility of Canada being attacked is nill, as we haven't done enough to anybody to deserve it. |

That's what they want you to think, then they blow you up when you least expect it. We are involved in fighting the Taliban in Afganistan and we are close allies to USA and Britain. There was that group of almost terrorists here in Canada who were planning to blow up the CN Tower and storm Parliament, then behead the Prime Minister. After that incident there were reports that there are many terrorist cells operating within Canada. |

That's what the media wants you to believe, in order to attract more viewers. You know that the people in the scheme were more accused of being terrorists than anything, and nothing more (if you've watched some documentaries that have followed). |

That could be somewhat true, although I have never heard anything about that.
I'm not saying it is something I worry about everyday in my life or think there is a high chance of a terrorist attack in Canada. I do believe there is a possibility of a terrorist attack in Canada. I'm just saying I would think more about the terrorist threat throughout the world, than I would of some secret Illuminati group, of which I have seen no real indication of their current existence. Unless their leader is George W. Bush. |

As Wikipedia says (despite the fact that Wikipedia is not 100% reliable or truthful information), the Illuminati has a connection to the New World Order theory. This is outlined in the 3rd section [Ideologies] of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_World_Order_%28conspiracy%29#Ideologies
The quoted material is taken from the subsection "New Age Material Believes That the Conspiracy is Benevolent":
| Quote: | New Age Idea That the Conspiracy is Benevolent
* Alice A. Bailey, the "New Age Prophetess", predicted (correctly) in 1940 the victory of the Allies over the Axis and the establishment afterward by the Allies of a "New World Order"--regarded by her (as by H.G. Wells [see below]) as a benevolent conspiracy by political progressives that would bring humanity to a higher level of civilization. [5] [2]
* Some New Age philosophers [6] and some liberals regard the establishment of the New World Order as a positive event. They think that, even though force may be necessary in the beginning, ultimately the New World Order will bring about world peace through the establishment of a Federal World Government based on International Law.

Check out the other parts of that section, very interesting reads. Also, check out the "Black Helicopter" section, it is kind of unsettling. |

I'm not at all sure about the Illuminati, though I've just finished reading Dan Brown's book, Angels and Demons, wherin the Illuminati played a prominent role, without even existing.
I worry more about the Bilderbergers and the Skull&Bones members. |

Those Dan Brown books revive all those secret societies and reveal them to the world...
If I headed that society, and knew my motives..I wouldn't let it easily die away... |

| Aren't they all fiction? If so, take a look at the name of the GENRE that the books are classified as. Remember, FICTION, not NON-FICTION. |

yes I know its fiction...
but Dan Brown took the books and mixed fact with fiction...
The Illuminati did exist...and his motive was to make a modern day story involving them....
No doubt they actually exist right this moment... |

I am skeptical. I have also just finished Angels and Demons, and found it to be interesting that certain characters tried to make it seem like the Illuminati were behind certain plans, but they had long since died.

| I am getting a non-fiction book about this same subject, called "Saucers of the Illuminati." It has to do with quite possible connections between the Roswell incident and the Illuminati taking control over it. If you've played Area 51 and have read the book, you should see a lot of influence being shared there. |
