I'd have to disagree, wikipedia and it's community logs any changes and can therefore kickandban those who put up false or biased information and restore what's lost.

Why should we trust a company printing books more than the society itself?

Since Wikipedia is written by anyone with a subscription, a free subscription at that, can write an article on Wikipedia and that there's a small chance of an article being at least 75% accurate, Teachers are therefore correct.

Why'd you use Wikipedia for school use? Like my English teacher said, Wikipedia is only good for getting you on the right track, but not for getting the information you need from. And NegatiVe's statement is not strong enough. How can Wikipedia detect false information? If they can find false information easily enough to filter out the many articles that contain such material, then wouldn't at least half of the articles on Wikipedia be deleted or completely changed?

I use Wiki ALL THE TIME, but I'm smart enough to double check the information on other sources.

I've done research on Wikipedia on everything from buckets(seriously) to psychology and It's never been wrong. The first.....um...year (was it?) I did double check things wqith the library and other sources(teachers, counselor's, etc.) but then I quit because it was always right.

Power to the Wiki. Well not all the power, just some.

I hardly use it >_> Don't have nothing to use it for. But I do think that it'll be helpful to gather a bit of information needed to do what you need to do.

Wiki is great, but not entirely accurate, the reason being the number of people and the ease of ability to change, or make up anything. But then again, it's the closest thing we have to a complete online encyclopedia!
