Man, if it weren't for Black Sabbath, metal wouldn't be what it is today. Black Sabbath put the "Heavy" in Metal.

I love all these bands. Even though I don't consider them all to be classic metal bands. The best classic rock group would be Led Zeppelin. The best classic metal band for influencing metal might be Black Sabbath. Although I'm not an expert on classification or music history, I just like good music. So, I'll just vote for my favorite band on the list, Led Zeppelin.

AC/DC for sure. So many classics, and there music is still great today!

out of all those bands I only listen/like black sabath and AC/DC. the latter being my first choice.

What do you guys find refreshing or whatnot about AC/DC? For me, they've gotten really old with the same damn riffage and the same beat throughout 75% of their material, and them being played so often in my household, but you guys like them. I wonder why, but it is my personal taste.

Merely Blues with the volume turned up, and maybe a bit faster tempo in parts.
